 This set of five Brazilian notes dates from 1944 through to 1964. The 1 Cruzeiro, 1944, is hand-signed across the face of the note and features the Brazilian naval school on the reverse. The set comprises: Pick ref. 132 (1 Cruzeiro 1944), 150c (1 Cruzeiro 1956), 151b (2 Cruzeiros 1958), 157Ac (2 Cruzeiros 1958) and 176d (5 Cruzeiros 1964). They are all in mint, uncirculated condition. Reference: BRAZIL 001 Price: £5.00  This attractive set features notes from two different series, issued during the 1980's. The reverse portrait theme on the 200, 500 and 1000 Cruzeiros notes is also mirrored in the scenes depicted on their reverse sides. The 50 Cruzados and 100 Cruzados overprinted notes are from the 1986 Provisional Issue. The notes are in UNC (uncirculated) condition. Reference: BRAZIL 002 Price: £6.50  The 1986 Monetary Reform in Brazil brought a new standard issue of notes: 1 Cruzado = 1,000 Cruzeiros. The 1980's was a period of very high inflation in Brazil, and further monetary reforms were seen in the years to follow. This set, however, includes the 500 Cruzados note issued in 1986 to commemorate the Birth Centennial of H. Villa-Lobos, famous Brazilian Conductor.
