These notes have always been very popular with collectors because of the stunning pictures of birds on the front. The 1 Dollar note shows a Black Naped Tern in flight whilst the 5 Dollars has the Red-whiskered Bulbul. Catalogue references are P9 and P10, and this pair of notes is in UNC condition. Reference: SINGAPORE 001. Price £11.50 ![]() In 1987 a new issue of notes featuring boats replaced the birds series. 'Sha Chuan' and 'Twakow' sailing boats are shown on these 1 and 5 dollar notes. On the reverse local flowers are illustrated together with a large satellite dish and a container terminal. Catalogue references are P18a and P19, and the notes are in UNC condition.
