![]() These are the last of the high denomination Zimbabwe Bearer Cheques which were in circulation for a very short period of time early in 2006 before a revaluation of the Zimbabwean currency. They are Bearer Cheques for 50,000 and 100,000 Zimbabwean Dollars, P.30 & P.32. They were replaced by new currency notes at the rate of 1 new Dollar equals 1000 old Dollars. These notes are in uncirculated condition. Reference: ZIMBABWE 001 Price: £9.50 ![]() The new series of notes issued in August 2006 covered an extremely wide range of values from 1 Cent to 100,000 Dollars. We have secured several values from this new series in our Zimbabwe 002 and 003 sets. This selection includes the 1, 5 and 10 Cents, plus the 1 Dollar note. It is hard to understand why the authorities bothered with the printing of the low denomination Cents notes as they never did have any real value. They do, however, provide an interesting illustration of Zimbabwe's recent troubled economy. These notes are in uncirculated condition.
